“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.”
Proverbs 14:34
God’s righteousness exalts every nation, and because we’re Believers, we are Stewards of pursuing and promoting His righteousness in our nation.
We also have the moral responsibility and moral obligation to become involved and invested in our nation’s political process by:
Voting our conscience and our convictions for the candidate or the issues that best reflect God’s moral values and God’s moral standards.
Remember as Believers:
We do not VOTE for our INTEREST!
We VOTE for GOD’S BIBLICAL INTEREST!
Remember: every vote for righteousness has eternal consequences by:
Pushing back darkness and wickedness for present and future generations while appealing for God’s mercy instead of His judgment.
We’re responsible for being
morally informed, intelligent and invested by making Jesus Lord over the issues of our day
morally informed by a variety of news and information sources that have been filtered and examined through Scripture
We must thoroughly know the issues, not only how they affect us but how they affect the world according to God’s Worldview and God’s agenda.
Our choices in this election cannot be motivated or driven by economic, political or social interest but must be motivated first by God’s Kingdom Priorities, Kingdom Principles and Kingdom Practices.
Our choices must be congruent with our faith and are not conflicting, contrary or contradictory to what we believe and what Scripture advocates.
And most importantly, we must pray for Godly wisdom to choose Godly leaders.
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14
May God bless you to make wise biblical choices as you vote this election year and may God bless America.
