Worship and Prayer Focus

INSTRUCTIONS

Gather with your family and share these prayer requests. Pray individually or together. Here are some suggestions on how you can do it: Pray over each five areas one day out of the week. You can assign each one of these prayer areas to a family member and you can pray every day if you want. You can reach out to extended family and have them agree in prayer.

We’re trying to build a community of prayer so we're being covered by the church corporately, individually, and as families. We're also trying to get people committed to prayer and connected to each other.

PRAYER AREAS

A. Worship and Prayer Focus: Prayers of Thanksgiving

1. Thank God for saving you, giving you eternal life, adopting you, forgiving and cleansing you of sin, for giving you his Spirit, for producing fruit in your life, and for making you like Christ.

2. Thank God for material blessings – for your life and health and provision, for your family and friends, your home, that you live in, and your city and nation.

3. Thank God for answered prayers and his many mercies to you.
   

B. Worship and Prayer Focus: Prayers for God’s Church

1. Pray for unity of the Spirit and that TDPM would abound in love and gratefulness.

2. Pray for your pastor, his wife, children his family, and our church leaders.

3. Pray that God would pour out his Spirit on our services, times of teaching and training, and on all our gatherings: Friday Night Live Service, Young People’s Night of Worship, Two By Two Men’s meeting, Women of Ruth Women’s meeting, and Lighthouse Life Group Gatherings.

4. Pray that God would bring many new people in your circle and life so He can SAVE THEM and you can SERVE THEM.

C. Worship and Prayer Focus: Prayers for Israel, Gaza and the Middle East

1. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and God’s protection over the nation of Israel. Cf: Psalm 122:6-7

2. Pray for the protection of innocent civilians.

3. Pray for Palestinians – whether Muslim or Christian - that their families will be protected during this time of unrest, violence, and war.

4. Prayers for peace, reconciliation, and justice in the Middle East.

5. Pray that demonic, evil ideologies will be exposed and God’s truth will prevail.

6. Pray against ethnic hostility between Jews and Gentiles and Antisemitism against the Jewish People.

D. Pray for Our Nation and for the World:

1. Pray for spiritual awakening in our nation!

2. Pray that God would save our leaders, give them wisdom, and cause them to promote righteousness and life.

3. Pray that God would save multitudes worldwide, that the gospel would go forth in power to every nation and people.

4. Pray that God’s kingdom would come in our cities, town, state, region, and nation.

5. Pray that God would save your neighbors and open doors for the gospel in your town.

6. Pray for the Persecuted Church, the suffering saints in North Korea, China, Saudi Arabia, and other nations.

7. Pray that God would remove wicked rulers and governments and replace them with governments favorable to the gospel and His Kingdom.

8. Pray that God would use his persecuted saints to spread the gospel like he used Paul in prison.
   

E. Worship and Prayer Focus: Prayers for Our Families and for Ourselves

1. Pray that God would save every one of your descendants, present and future until he returns, and that they all would follow Jesus and become his disciples.

2. Pray that God would cause you, your spouse, and descendants to delight in Him, His Worship, and His Word.

3. Pray that you come to KNOW, LOVE, SERVE, and PLEASE Jesus more and more and become more and more like Him.

4. Pray that you learn to live in an intimate personal relationship with Him in a manner worthy of the gospel and that bears abundant fruit, more fruit, and much fruit.

5. Pray for family, personal relationships, and personal needs: Salvation, healing, deliverance, financial provision, or help in relationships, courtships, marriages, child rearing, and grandparenting.
